All new athletes at CrossFit West Sacramento are required to complete our 10 Session Foundations Program. Foundations is a series of classes that takes beginning athletes through exercises that are commonly used in the CrossFit methodology. Once finished with Foundations, participants are ready to start their CrossFit training at CFWS. In addition to learning new exercises, each session contains a metcon (metabolic conditioning) workout in which your fitness will be simultaneously assessed and challenged. Progressing from class 1 through class 10, participants can expect both the relative difficulty of the skill work and metabolic conditioning components of each class to increase. The goals of our Foundations program are found below:
- Establish an understanding of the regularly used exercises in the CrossFit methodology (including warm-up activities and cool down/mobility techniques)
- Improve fitness levels by progressively increasing the volume as well as the intensity of training
- Allow our athletes to define concrete goals and develop a plan for achieving said goals through CrossFit
- Establish the minimum effective training frequency of 3 days/week
- Prepare new athletes for successful integration into our Workout of the Day (WOD) classes
New classes generally start near the beginning of each month. The cost of our Foundations Program is $200.
The price structure below outlines our current training rates. Our billing is set up as month to month without the requirement of long term contracts. If you are interested in pre-paying your membership for 3, 6 or 12 months in advance, however, we will reward you with a 10%, 15% and 20% discount (respectively) off the month to month price. Service personnel, student and family discounts will also apply (see appropriate membership types below).
We believe that what you get in return for your monthly training dues makes our services the best value in all of fitness training today. You will get the best, most attentive coaching anywhere at a fraction of the cost of paying a gym membership plus personal training fees.
