Game on! CrossFit West Sacramento has begun teaching Foundations Classes and running Workouts of the Day (WODs). Check out our current class schedule on the right hand side of our home page. Be sure to notice the different schedules for WODs and Foundations Classes.
Foundations Classes will run for one hour and will include a warm-up, instruction on the fundamental skills of the CrossFit methodology and an initial conditioning workout. Each Foundations Class Series consists of 8 Foundations Classes; members of CrossFit West Sacramento are required to complete each of the 8 Foundations Classes before attending Workouts of the Day (WODs).
Members who have already completed Foundations Classes will be able to attend WODs based on the posted schedule. WODs will be different every day, but will focus on one or more of the following three themes every day:
- Metabolic Conditioning
- Skill Day (ie. Olympic Weightlifting Practice)
- Strength Day
Most WODs will incorporate a strength component within every workout — even on metcon and skill days.
If you are brand new to CrossFit, or would like to check out our facility, feel free to stop by for one of our free workouts at either 10:00 AM on Saturday mornings or 6:00 PM on Wednesday evenings. We will introduce you to some basic CrossFit movements and let you get your feet wet with the CrossFit training methodology.
