Coach Lance Says:

We are now in week 8 of our mobility challenge and just want to make sure you are all staying on task. The goal of this challenge was not really for you to win money, but for you to learn how to figure out what your problem areas are, as well as how to go about trying to correct this through the different mobility and stretching techniques we have been teaching at the box. At the end of the challenge I would like people to be able to address any muscle soreness or problems they run into using the techniques we are teaching.

Its really no different than applying first aide to a cut, when you cut yourself you know what to do. when this challenge is over you should all be able to use your new techniques to fix yourself or perform general body maintenance. This brings me to a problem I have noticed in the box on Thursdays, people are not coming in to learn the new techniques! This is a serious problem!! Addressing your mobility issues is just as important or more so than coming into the box to move heavy shit, or do an ass kicking metcon. Knowing how to do this stuff is going to provide longevity into your crossfit life, as well as making your everyday life easier by riding it of your nagging aches and pains. I fully expect that this Thursday we will see a lot better turn out than we did during the entire December, which was pathetic! No more holiday excuses. If you want to be a good Crossfitter or just in good shape you need to be addressing all of the 10 components of fitness, and guess what? flexibility is one of them!

To give everyone a little incentive the first place prize is going to be $100 and 60 min of one on one coaching, second place will be $60 with 60 min of one on one coaching, and third place will be $40 with 60 min of one on one coaching. The final day of the challenge will be February 2, all of the final assessments must be done on this day or before. If you will not be in the box that day please schedule a time before hand to get it done.

Email coach Lance by sending an email to lance@crossfitwestsac.com to schedule your final assessment in March. There is still plenty of time to make significant gains in your overall flexibility. Get in the box on Thursdays and get mobile!!
